From broken rackets to building our own
Acero was born out of love for the game and an obsession with materials. After hundreds of hours on court, four snapped rackets, and one too many deep dives into padel tech, we decided to create the gear we couldn’t find. No weird names, flashy symbols or other bullshit. Just premium rackets and accessories with minimalistic outside, exceptional inside. For real players, by real players.
We’re Ronnie and Mattias, father and son, based in Stockholm. Not the world’s best padel players (yet), but two hopeless material nerds who care deeply about helping more people fall in love with this sport.
Our range is small on purpose. Each product has been developed with precision and passion to make padel more accessible, more fun – and just a little more beautiful.

Are we the best at padel? Absolutely not! Can we kick mash? Hardly! However, we share a strong passion for the sport and are two extreme material nerds. Therefore, we hope, and believe, that Acero can create padel equipment that is appreciated by you and many other players.

Our journey
2018
Love at first sight
Stockholm, 2018. The first time we stepped into the cage, the first time we held a padel racket, the first time we played padel. Instead of running to the front, we ran to the back. Nine out of ten balls were in the glass wall. The servers straight into the grid. Far from a glamorous debut, but damn it was fun! During those 60 minutes the love for padel was born.
2019
From glass walls to gear talk
A few hundred hours of play later, and we were hooked. Refreshing MATCHi every other night to grab a 90-minute slot on center court. Four broken rackets. A growing obsession with how the gear actually works. Suddenly you’re knee-deep in materials, balances, cores, and carbon types. It became our “Nuestra mayor pasión” as the Spanish would say – our greatest passion.
2020
The starting shot
Pandemic. The world hit pause. More time opened up. We played even more padel. And somewhere between rallies and post-match San Miguels, the idea was born: let’s create our own gear. Not to become millionaires – but to design what we couldn’t find ourselves. Without the weird names and flashy symbols.
2021
Launching Acero
We launched Acero with a single focus: a narrow, carefully developed premium range that actually means something. Three rackets (No. 1, 2 and 3), one ball, one overgrip. No buzzwords. No “Elite Pro X9000 Ultra Tour Legends”. Just real product, real quality, straight from the factory to your hand.
2022
From players, for players
Feedback rolled in. Orders picked up. Acero rackets started showing up in the wild. We stayed hands-on with everything — improving details, adding personal service, and staying close to the people who play. Still a small family-run brand. Still obsessed with every little decision.
2023
No. X, Europe & Björn Borg
This year was big. We launched our most ambitious racket to date and collection together with the legendary sportswear brand Björn Borg.
We also took a big step beyond Sweden and opened up shipping to the rest of Europe. It was surreal seeing Acero rackets on courts from Madrid to Munich.

Still packing every box
We’re still here. Still packing every order ourselves, still replying to every DM and email, still listening to what the community says.
